About Us
Centro Unido promotes and provides inclusive educational opportunities for the community, developing strategies and programs that facilitate teaching, to empower people in the workplace and everyday life, through mechanisms that provide basic knowledge such as lectures, workshops, and classes that are integrated into the different programs, computer classes are designed to give the necessary basic tools on computing; parts of the computer, programs most used in office, design tools, management and knowledge of social networks, among others, these classes are part of the education program of the Centro Unido.
About the Role
The computer instructor will be in charge of teaching the computer classes in Spanish, will give basic skills on everything related to computers, programs, tools, design, etc., in the different schedules that are established after the hiring, and will also support in the logistics to ensure the effective implementation of the computer program at the Centro Unido. This person will work with the education coordinator in the publication, promotion, and implementation of the computer classes, as well as present strategies for the growth of the program, give progress, and report on the program when requested. The candidate must have the skills and knowledge in the field of informatics or computer science, be passionate, and want to support the community.

Key Responsibilities:

Share the vision, mission, principles, and values of Centro Latino with staff, families, volunteers, and students.

To teach the computer modules on different days and times (preferably in the afternoon and evening).

Support the Education Program Coordinator with the preparation of computer classes.

Prepare computer equipment and materials necessary for class implementation as needed.

Review curriculum, and computer modules, and make necessary changes for student preparation.

Communicate and advertise computer classes through various media.

Work on strategies for promotion, publicity, and growth of computer classes.

Follow up on students' knowledge progress during the computer modules.

Provide documents or reports of the implemented computer modules.

Maintain communication by phone calls, text messages, or WhatsApp with students, and attend to needs, difficulties, and doubts.

Supervise the attendance of students.

Coordinate and evaluate the best days and schedules and the number of modules intended to be taught in 2025.

Job skills and qualifications:
-
High school degree or equivalent
-
Experience in the computer sector
-
Experience as a teacher or computer assistant.
-
Knowledge in Microsoft, Programming, editor and graphic design, handling of social networks, Google Drive, and different operating systems.

Experience in non-profit organizations
-
Good communication skills
-
Spanish and English knowledge

The Centro Unido will provide all materials, equipment, facilities, and everything necessary for the proper development of the scheduled classes, as well as didactic, organizational, and logistical training for the class instructor.
